Fabrication Materials for Sheet Metal

Common Materials in Sheet Metal Fabrication for Custom Parts

Our cutting-edge facility specializes in fabricating high-precision sheet metal parts using a wide range of materials, including aluminum, cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, and copper.

Our expert team has the knowledge and skills to handle even the most complex specifications. By leveraging the latest computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) technologies, we ensure that each part adheres to the highest quality standards. Whether you’re looking for a single prototype or require a large-scale production run, we are committed to delivering results beyond your expectations.

Common Materials in Sheet Metal Fabrication for Custom Parts

Aluminum Alloy

Parts made from this material are typically formed using the 5052-H32 grade of aluminum, though we also work with various other grades. Our stock thicknesses for Aluminum 5052-H32 range from 0.020” to 0.125”.

Stainless Steel Sheets

Parts are typically formed using the 304/304L and 316L grades of stainless steel, though we also work with various other grades. Stainless steel is an excellent choice for parts where appearance is essential, thanks to its sleek, durable finish.

Precision Cold Rolled Steel

Parts are typically formed from the 1008 alloy of cold-rolled steel. This material is available in various thicknesses and offers exceptional flatness tolerance, surface finish, and press brake formability.

Copper Materials

With over three decades of experience in sheet metal fabrication, ASM is a trusted leader in the industry. Copper is a preferred material for custom bus bars and electrical contacts, and we have the expertise to ensure your parts are delivered accurately and on time—right the first time!

Precision Steel

Approved Sheet Metal (ASM) is your fastest source for custom-formed steel sheet metal parts. We primarily work with Galvenneal and Galvanized steel grades, though we also handle various other grades. Allow us to support your next project!
